Since 2010, SurveyorConnect has provided free discussion forums to the Land Surveying community.
SurveyorConnect is a peer-to-peer platform providing community-based discussions and support for Land Surveyors and Geomatics Professionals all over the world. Our goal is to serve and support people that know and love Surveying and related topics, so they can keep up to date in their industry, while learning more, and getting more work done.

Who We Are
Who is SurveyorConnect?
SurveyorConnect is a website for Land Surveyors built by a Land Surveyor with 26 years of experience.
SurveyorConnect was created by Wendell Harness, a Land Surveyor for 26 years in Oregon, Arizona and California. He has since moved on to building and maintaining websites for small businesses. But he’s still passionate about surveying and its strong community. He has always been — and will always be — a Land Surveyor at heart.
Angel Lynn is our Forum Moderator and Social Media Manager. She helps keep a tight ship, by performing a wide variety of duties. She also puts up with Wendell and all of his sometimes-difficult-but-always-lovable surveying friends.

Why SurveyorConnect?
It’s the people.
SurveyorConnect was built because people needed help fixing a problem with the state of online surveying forums. “Build it and they will come,” said Kent McMillan, a surveyor and friend from Austin, Texas. He approached Wendell in 2010 with the backing of a handful of other surveyors hoping for something to replace POB’s failed attempt at modernizing rpls.com.
In only two days, we acquired beerleg.com and built a rudimentary discussion forum. We didn’t expect the project to go far because we figured everyone would simply digress and accept the new rpls.com. We were wrong.
People showed up, literally overnight, and began interacting with one another. Soon, they were asking for a way to donate “beer money” so the new site could survive in perpetuity.
Now look at us. We are a success because of the people.
