Discussions about cartography and mapping as they pertain to surveying, as well as software used for coordinate geometry (COGO), field-to-finish (F2F), Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and Least Squares.

Discussions pertaining to Geodesy and global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) including (but not limited to) GPS (United States), GLONASS (Russia), BeiDou (China) and Galileo (European Union).

Discussions regarding aerial photogrammetry, 3D laser scanning (LiDAR), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), a.k.a. drones.

Discussions about business practices, financial issues and the legal aspects of Land Surveying. Topics might also include court cases, bookkeeping, business formation, easement or right-of-way legalities, etc.

Discussions regarding educational and/or training events, such as continuing education workshops, conferences, college courses, or other information that will help surveyors begin or continue their journey of surveying knowledge.

Help to preserve the legacy of fellow surveyors who've passed by sharing their stories here. We learn from our surveying mentors, educators, and coworkers, so please feel free to memorialize them here.
