A few times I've had a premonition that the client supplied accommodations are not going to be up to scratch, so I've taken one of those two-person dome tents and a hiker's air-mattress, and spent many a glorious night camping on the veranda or in the garden while the bed bugs feast elsewhere inside the hovel.
But there I will hire a car and driver, too difficult to get around and they drive on the left. I have driven on the left before but it is difficult to get used to.
Trinidad. They drive on the left, up and down hills, around curves, no streetlights or stop signs. Get near an intersection, you honk then fly through it.
You're completely sober by the time you get where you're going.
I wrecked my truck a month ago. The only way you could get a rental in through the insurance agency. And parts are backordered for repairs. I am 40 out on a rental (progressive covered 30 day and enterprise gave me a discount rate on the remainder). I spoke to many agents trying to get a rental after my wreck almost impossible without insurance.
If anyone is planning to visit Orlando and wants a rental car they better reserve it about two months in advance and hope it’s there waiting for them. Rental cars are tough to come by currently. 😎
The wife and I are attending a wedding near Sacramento, CA in early October. Will probably drive from CO just to ensure we have a car available. Perhaps I'll put her on a plane and drive solo for the cross-country part so I can blow out the mental cobwebs without much care for other's feelings for a couple or three days....
