There is an outfit called http://www.internationalcalculator.com/. I have no idea how good their service is.
But maybe your buddy should listen to what the universe is telling him and move up to something new.
I always thought I would quit surveying when my 41 died ( was a party chief and more into computers then), but then they built an app for the phone – some even have the surv pack that you can load and run – licensed now and use it all the time in the field – also found a repair link from 2014 – http://www.vintagecalculatorrepair.com/index.php
@norman-oklahoma if he wasn’t so close to retirement I would be beating that drum too!
How about a brand new one?
@edward-reading That’s amazing! I wonder how many they’ve sold. Their website is short on details; like how do you load programs without a card reader?
In the specifications table :
Connectivity (PC) USB-Micro-B port, connects as USB mass storage device So, just drag and drop files I would imagine. 4MB built-in flash storage
@edward-reading at one time, they were available on Amazon. All I see on Amazon now is the 42 and the 16.

I saw that, but it begs the question concerning how do you load HP41 programs into your PC to transfer into the HP41? And what about HP41 modules, like the Survey module, into your PC for transfer?
