CEU’s
Been licensed since 1982 in New York and 1993 in New Jersey. I try to attend the annual conference in one state or the other (sometimes both) each year. Sarted saving the certificates after CEU’s became mandatory in NJ and then in NY.
After getting tired of putting all my certificates in a looseleaf book (and running out of room) I digitized them. Scanned the certificates plus made a spreadsheet with Year/Conference/CourseName/Instructuor/NY Credit/NJ Credits.
Turns out I have taken 534 hours in NJ and 270 hours in NY, most of which are recongized by either state.
FEMA, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, Geodetics, Ethics and Boundary/Title topics are the most prevalent.
Names such as Doyle, Kent, Lucas, Robillard, Hermansen, Wilson, Reilly, Greenfeld Minnick, Lathrop, Ingram, Mouland, Kline and Paiva continually pop up.
Along with many locally recognized names, these folks have done a great job impoarting their knowledge to us over the years.
And I have found that even though some of the material is (of necessity) rehashed in one way or another, I aleays get something out of nearly every course I take.
Thanks to all!
(Special shout out to Dave Doyle, who I would watch reading the phone book………)
