Can’t quite tell the scale…parapet might be a good word.
I agree. Very common in FL old style Spanish architecture out buildings.

Different building, same structures-
Those are fire walls.
The first photo is a parapet. In the Old West many commercial buildings were false-front buildings. A full two-story square front might have a standard one-story building behind it.
