Sokkia GRX3 / Topcon Hiper VR Base & Rover - Experiences?
We recently purchased a Sokkia GRX3 (i.e. Sokkia branded Topcon Hiper VR) base and rover system and are feeling a bit of buyer's remorse. The field performance of the system just doesn't wow us like we were hoping coupled with some other very annoying "issues" back in the office side of things. (I can go into details if anyone wants.) So I am wondering what other users are experiencing and how they deal with the office "annoyances".
I did the same I actually think my hiper v worked better seems to take forever to fix and radio signal in wide is good but if there is a few trees it want go far at all
What problems have you been having maybe I have a setting wrong because other people seem to love them but I don’t seem to think there any better than my hiper v that I had
Garry, the best way to deal with office annoyances is to go solo.
My Topcon VR's w/ Magnet Field v6.2 are much more accurate than the older Hiper V's. If you are not seeing 25 -30 SV's then you need to update your firmware.
I measure control points with 60-second RTK observation, then occupy and backsight the points with Robot TS. The checks are constantly ±0.01ft
