Yes, the solution is to update to the latest firmware: https://spectrageospatial.com/sp80-gnss-receiver/ see the bottom of the page. You want version 3.39.
All SP80’s are affected. Appears to be GLONASS tracking related. PM500’s have same issue with GNSS 215 error. No firmware fix for them, however I suspect that turning off GLONASS will fix.
Leica Spyder servers may share this issue too.

Does the firmware 3.89 fix the problem?
It did for me. With 3.88 I would track, then the number would back down to GPS only, then appear to restart. I did the update followed by a three-fingered-reset, waited 30 minutes to collect new ephemeris and then held a fix for over an hour. So I felt like it worked.
Customers have reported success on several other devices.

What is the 3 finger reset?
Thanks!
Turn off receiver. Hold the disky-drive-button and scrolly-pages-button down. Then turn on while continuing to hold. I think the update takes care of everything though, so probably no need.
