Hello from Houston, TX
Good Friday morning,
I am a born and raised Texan. I am 31 years old and have been in the survey industry since I was 24. I am currently in a field coordinator position and working on my SIT application. It's good to find pages like these were others share information, it's too often that is not the case and people don't want to teach. I hope to continue to grow in my career on one day have the initials RPLS behind my name.
From one native Texan to another, welcome to the forum. This is a great place to read and learn. When posting, please be as specific as possible with your situations. The more information you can divulge, the more complete the understanding of the situation and subsequent recommendations will be from those of us practicing in different parts of the world.
There is a wealth of information (and goofing off) in here. Watch out for the old codger by the door though, he's always grumpy (and no, it's not me)! 😎
We were starting a survey Tuesday and I was asked what to name the file. I responded with Oldgrumpybastard. The comeback was: So, you own this ground, do you?
Yes, sir. I do. Purchased at the County Tax Sale last year for $20 plus $55 closing fee. Three 50-foot by 150-foot lots on a block corner. Scenic view for when Noah floats by. County seat town about eight miles southwest of the permanent home of many of your ancestors and cousins.
