New Student/Apprentice
Hello Everyone, I’m a small time self-employed “surveyor” doing mostly building, MEP layouts, and utility mapping. I didn’t take an education on surveying so what I know I mostly learned the hard way or talked to guys like I find on this forum, guys who know a lot more than I do. So, I just wanna say hi and I joined this forum to broaden my understanding and connect with people who can take me a step further in all this. I currently run Magnet Field and Topcon Robotic Total Station and also a GNSS system, I do my own CAD drafting and point layout so I have some experience in that. I’ve been browsing around this site and I really like the way everybody kinda shares their life experiences. So to summarize my level of experience I’ll say this: if you try to learn everything you will probably excel at none of them but you might be able to get the job done.
