Free Canon Plotter iPF 755

We have working iPF 755 that only needs a new printhead.  Some ink, some 36" paper.  All free. Just have to come to the office in Emporia, KS to get.  I really don't want to take it to the landfill if anybody has a use for it.

No responses so far.  How small of pieces should I smash it before loading in the truck for the landfill?

Suggest: take it to habitat for humanity. Or to goodwill.
normal people don’t use big printers.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I work with Habitat and print off all their house plans.  I also donate my services on their new lots for construction and code compliance.  The Goodwill folks must be "normal" because they didn't want it, especially since technically it is not functioning without a new print head.  Their store is 430 feet from my office!

Anybody want it for parts?  The dealer that sold it to me doesn't want it even if I deliver it to their door for free 85 miles away.

I'm interested! You're only 3 hrs from Omaha. We will be in Omaha late next week or early the following week and could easily make the trip if you can wait that long.

I don't know if this applies to your printer but there's lots of videos online about extracting "goodies" from printers, which can be quite valuable, like stepper motors.

Sure can.  It don't want to help "trash the planet" if at all possible. Let me know when. PM me.

Eight months have passed since I first posted about giving this functioning plotter away.  Looked into salvaging parts but don't think I want to bother as there is no market to speak off that I was able to find.  One last refresh of this post before it is out of the office where it has been functioning like my treadmill at home. 😉  I couldn't even get the company that sold it to me to take it for free and all it needs is a new printhead!

Is there a nearby technical school/College that may want it?

@va-ls-2867 Yes, and they rejected it, even though it is still "current".  They are all HP with service contracts from an in state company. Good idea, though.
