Banning politics helps all of us maintain a healthy, adult, and on-topic discussion forum.
As long as we don't ban Poodletics, us dogs are happy.
I'm glad this site doesn't have all that acrimony so we can concentrate on technical topics and frivolity.
However, I also read various news feeds, frequently including a left-wing site and a right-wing site on the theory that you need to know what the rest of the country thinks (or espouses without thinking). All too often those "discussions" are mostly name calling, and we don't need that here.
It's a little more complicated than the symbolism with avatars, emojis, or outright speech. Your extremist and dangerous posts will slip under the radar with familiar extremist partisan phrases and dog whistles such as:
1) Any mention of grits with cheese, or any other abomination or critter as ingredients
2) "It's <50° rainy and beautiful here in _____"
It only takes a second to realize those aren't correct, and need to be removed quickly.
Thank you for the “no politics” policy. There is too much of it everywhere in my opinion.
2) "It's <50° rainy and beautiful here in _____"
Scratching my head here. Maybe I'm just not hip to stealth political speech
