Ugh. This one is hard for me.
You see, I got to hang out with Chris ("Grizz") a couple of times when we both lived in Arizona. There was just something... comforting about him in person. You know what I mean? Disagree with him all you want but he was a genuine human being that radiated kindness and warmth.
Rest in peace, brother. You will be missed but not forgotten.
Sorry to hear about this.
Dang...another great Missouri Surveyor. He contributed greatly to the society over the years. He will certainly be missed.
As was said above, Chris really cared. We clashed on his favorite love, the church of Rome. But, he was clear, and wanted what was best. That's where we disagreed. But, his motives were of the completely best sort.
Rest in peace Chris.
Had the opportunity to get to spend a little time with him a few times when I would slip across the State Line to an MSPS educational program or convention. A very nice, and wise, fellow. He is one who will definitely be missed by his peers.
Chris was a great guy...
I had the opportunity to talk to him a few times. Glad I had the chance
Sorry to hear this. He was a good man and I liked his input to the forum board. RIP Grizz
I heard about this today during an MSPS lunch and learn. I am sorry to hear this. I may have met him once at the MSPS conference.
Grizz was good people!! We got to meet him and his wife when they were in Arizona for a bit doing some Surveying down in Sierra Vista. I could tell they missed "home". He was glad when he got to return to Missouri.
He always had a good answer for my "religious" questions. And he liked a wonderful baseball team based in Missouri! I am sure he was welcomed to his new eternal place with open arms and trumpets. RIP Grizz... 🌹
Well this a bummer. I was just thinking about him because I hadn't heard anything from him in years. So I Googled his name just right now and found this out. A fellow 82-Charlie. I may have or may have not of always agreed with him, but he is and always has been one of the sacred members of the 82-C club to me.
May he rest in peace.
