We're using Carlson with AutoCAD.  I've done some digging on my own and haven't quite found what I'm looking for, so I'm throwing it out there in case anyone here knows.

Is there a way to identify which point group a specific point belongs to, other than scrolling through the point group manager list?

A couple ideas...

If you use F2F, you can set different point blocks for different items, e.g. monument symbol for found irons, "X' for spot elevations, etc...

You can also change the point symbol in the DRAW-LOCATE POINTS dialog, and draw only the point groups you want to look different.

Hope this helps.

None that I know of.

You could make a feature suggestion to Carlson. Maybe they'll include it in the next version.

Try to double click the point in question.

You should see a edit point dialog. First line is coordinate file and second line will be group: and show what group or groups the point is in.

Maybe instead of double clicking the point, maybe Carlson can add that tag info to the Drawing Inspector point data. Ladd???

@va-ls-2867 I'm sort of shocked this information isn't already displayed within the Drawing Inspector - Point Data option. I will, however, elevate this to the Carlson product development team for consideration in a future release of the product. Until then, double-clicking the point to expose the Edit Points dialog (which does show the Group information) is probably the quickest graphical way to the information.
