Dimension Style Manager issue/question
Help…Carlson 2021. I am trying to setup some dimension styles under the annotate in the ribbon. In the dimension style manager I have several styles already created. Those styles were included in the drawing that I started creating my template with. As an example I have a style called ROW-Dim which I would use to label my r/w with. In this case it would have a specific txt, leaders and arrows. The txt is L80. Here’s the backstory. If I use the “ANNOTATION” pulldown with the “OFFSET DIMENSION” choice my text (dim) comes in at the right size but its on the layer default of “DIMTXT” (which is not what I want to use). By creating a dimension style under the “ANNOTATE” pulldown I can use select the ROW-Dim selection which labels accordingly and puts it on the right layer, etc. The issue I am having is that even with all the right settings the text/leader arrows are coming in at the wrong scale…
And…. I know the easy answer is use the offset dimension and change the layer but at this point I want to know and understand what is happening. The Dim Style Manager is there for a reason.
Thank you.
