Panasonic fz-m1 Windows 8 display too dim – Leegreen
I’m hoping Leegreen or someone else can help me…I got a second Panasonic fz-m1 used for a backup and one of the other crews wanted to use it, as their Mesa 2 tablet died a few months back. They’re using a TSC3 which they can barely see the screen outdoors.
We got the license for the field software transferred to the Panasonic and they took it out yesterday to try it and found they could barely see the screen in the bright sunlight.
Back in the office I put it next to mine and they’re both set to 100% brightness but mine is a good 50% brighter looking. It’s also the second generation and has windows 10 vs windows 8 on the older one, but I don’t recall seeing anything about a display change in the newer model. I don’t know if we’re missing something in the cruddy windows 8 settings (I’ve never had experience with Windows 8 before) or if the older one had lower brightness. Maybe there is a driver update that would help? Or maybe it’s just a worn out display. It looks good other than not being bright enough, but the bios showed it had 40,000 hours on it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
