StarNET and .rw5 file issues
I'm getting .rw5 raw files from my data collector. Then I use StarTDS to convert this raw file into a .dat file. When I add this .dat file into StarNET it is missing ALL of our set collection data (which is all of the important monuments and control). This takes forever to enter manually. Is there some setting that I have incorrect? Any help is appreciated. I have attached a raw file converted to text below for you to examine since I can't attach the raw file
Since you are getting the .rw5 file from SurvCE you should be able to download Carlson X-Port from the Carlson website and enable it with your license info for SurvCE.
That program will allow you to import and export and process the data by many methods including least squares and probably export into a file that StarNet will accept.
I think that you are using the wrong converter. Evidently you are using SurvCE dc software which should be converted with the StarCarlson converter. This even though both TDS/Spectra Precision and Carlson use the RW5 suffix, and appear largely similar, they are different enough.
What version of Survce are you using?
In the convertor there is an option to average multiple shots as well. Are you running your traverse in set collection?
