Best Practices on Identifying Monitoring Points for a Large Concrete Silo
I understand that monitoring points are best to be located on structural elements supporting a structure to be surveyed. However, a cylindrical concrete silo is basically composed of monolithic structural concrete shell. This means that you’re given the entire silo surface as sample space.
In your experience, how would you readily identify reflector installation points. Any best practices? How would you determine the number of reflectors need to be installed?
Thank you.
