I saw the question like this, but have a little different details.
I have Ranger 3 with old firmware 2.0.1 and old version Windows CE 29058.5.3.12.8.
On this platform is installed Survey Pro Max 5.4.1.
I want to install most recent version of firmware and Windows CE and only Reinstall Survey Pro 5.4.1 (same)
Can I do that alone - do you have some manual?
Do I need software warranty from Spectra to do that?

You will need a reinstatement warranty but you have the Ability as the user to do it yourself. Sync the DC to a computer, download the install package from Spectra's website, double click and install.
