Clown’s to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you. This Stealers Wheel song is stuck in my head. I’m trying to do an as-built for the state for a fiber on a pole line that dates back to WWII and crosses several sections that were surveyed in 1960 by BLM using photogrammetry and I’m not finding much in the way of corners, and what am finding doesn’t match record too well. Then I stumble on a BLM ‘reference monument’ set in 2019, but the only person who seems to know anything about it at BLM recently retired. It appears to reference a section corner buried deep under a road accessing a comm site on top of a mountain that our fiber feeds. Appears BLM in the process of doing a dependent resurvey of the boundary of their gobbed up mess that is their 1960 survey. So here I am trying to make sense of it all without much to go on and both the state and BLM are not much help. A bleepin’ pandemic isn’t helping.Yes I’m stuck in the middle with you,
And I’m wondering what it is I should do,
It’s so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I’m all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with youpost edit: In no way shape or form am I suggesting that anyone with the state or BLM is either a ‘joker’ or a ‘clown’ and do not intend this reference to disparage anyone. Thank you.
