First shot today
I’m so sorry for your loss and offer my deepest sympathy. Maybe we’ll play some baseball up your way this summer. If we do, I’ll treat you to a day at the ballpark.
I also forward my condolences for your wife passing but recognize what a great and long relationship you had. I hope that as time goes on you focus on the many days of happiness you had together.
And yes, there is help on the way, slow as it comes. My wife and I both have our first Pfizer vaccine shot scheduled for Friday. I have been out in the Alaska bush since December 7, with a good internet connection 80 miles from the grid, in a bubble of one, but needed to come in to the "big city" due to a long streak of bad weather come up all week and not wanting to worry I would miss the appointment. I am holing up at home avoiding all creatures.
Math Teacher, you and your family are in my prayers.
We got our first shot today in Charlotte, NC through Novant Health. It was very well organized, we were in and out in 40 minutes, including the 15 minutes that they require to wait after the shot. There goal for the day was 4,000, they may have accomplished it.
I am posting this incase someone in the Charlotte area that still needs the shot, they are having another clinic next Saturday and the appointment can be booked online.
52 years is amazing. My deepest condolences.
