Your best bet is Allens Precision equipment rentals.

Keystone Precision does Trimble.  They have offices in Hackensack NJ and Allentown PA.  I'm not sure about the details on their rentals, but according to their site, they have rentals.

I've gone to them for calibration and repairs and I like them.

Waypoint Technology Group in Albany, NY usually has S series instruments available to rent.

Thanks, Joe. I called them this morning. Waiting for return call, and now making a backup plan.

Thanks. Albany is 2.5 hours away. Hoping for something closer.

The options are pretty limited here in NJ.

Presume you're flying to the location, if not pick up gear in Denver on your way through.  Vectors Inc,  has anything you could possibly imagine. In Trimble land that is.

And I don't get paid for mentioning that.

Btw.  I staked silt fence yesterday. Woohoo.

@chris-bouffard Limited options is perplexing to me. I presumed with population and number of businesses in the area it'd be much easier. Oh, well... This little project will likely have to wait 'til next summer when I'll bring my own gear.
