Mixing GPS brands for base and rover
Hi folks, our company just got a new base and rover pair from Stonex since it’s getting harder to find parts for the TKO’s we have. We’re using their UT10 data collector with the android version of FieldGenius for the Stonex base and rover and it’s been an alright software; was able to get the TKO’s setup on the same collector as well, but we’ve mainly been using SurvCE 4.0 on a Carlson Archer 2 for the TKO’s. We’re curious to see if it’s possible to set the TKO’s up to receive corrections information from the Stonex base so we can have multiple rovers on a job with just the single base. The TKO’s have a lot less settings to mess with than the Stonex 850S’, but I’m hoping I can get the two to talk using the same frequency and corrections. The TKO doesn’t show the channel frequencies it uses – just the channel numbers (of which it has way more than the stonex), and setting the stonex base and the tko rover to the same channel number, base id and corrections format doesn’t appear to let them talk to eachother. I’m thinking the frequency per channel number on the TKO is different from the Stonex, and I’m trying to see if I can figure out what the frequencies per channel number on the TKO are so I can set the Stonex to the same frequency and see if that works. Does anybody have a list that shows that, or know if the radios on these two units are compatible?
Thanks!
~Ken
