Welcome
Tuesday, February 7th, 2023I'm looking for less common colors...purple, light and dark green/blue for a solar project that needs about 20 different color combinations to mark the different post size/depth/type.
Any ideas?

You're probably going to have a hard time finding anything other than the standard APWA colors that utility companies use.
I don’t know, but since you can get flagging in most any color, stripe and dot; use flagging stakes. You can also write all of those specifics on the stake. If you have a field person that can write Spanish, your contractor will love you. Good luck.

The client's not small- they build utility scale solar nationwide; I told them if they are doing this elsewhere find out where your other surveyors are getting these colors.

The industry standard for solar construction is to use color coded whiskers on 60d nails; then the installer coordinates the post type and length to the color code.
Ok, I understand that; the worker sees dark magenta and knows which item to pull off off the truck, how high to leave it and which direction to point it; sees a light magenta and does something totally different.
My brother worked for US Home, building huge subdivisions with four homes; the blue one, the green one, the red one and the yellow one. Any time there was a question with the slab, stairs, or roof; all he had to say was ”the blue one” and everyone know what to do.
I'm sure you could get Berntsen to make what you want; for a price...

I used pink whiskers and put a lath next to it so the construction guys have targets! Then come back and restake, and restake, and restake......
@scotland It's the old joke...if your lost in the woods just set a stake marked "Control Point - Please Save". Then in five or ten minutes when the loader operator knock it out, just follow him.
Blackburn has a good selection at www.blackburnflag.com
Get some of that plaid paint to be outstanding.
was leaning more either azure, aqua or maybe teal. Turquoise would be nice for that personalized touch.
