Surveying Textbook Recommendation
Does anyone have a recommendation for a surveying text book for college students? The surveying curriculum at this college is more field oriented.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a surveying text book for college students? The surveying curriculum at this college is more field oriented.
Wolf & Ghilani Elementary Surveying is one of the standards. There are many editions and if this is supplemental (not needing to match section numbers, problem sets, etc. with others in a class) you can save $ by getting a slightly out of date one as the core material changes slowly.
If you plan to get into cadastral work, you also eventually need to find a book from the 1970’s or before to appreciate how the work you may be retracing was done.
I agree that Elementary Surveying, by Charles Ghilani (Professor Wolf passed away some time back and is no longer listed as an author) is the go-to.
