SurvNet User Group
I’m a longtime StarNet user. Recently I’ve acquired access to Carlson Survey 2020 and wish to learn how to use SurvNet. I’m collecting data using a Topcon PS and Tesla/Magnet. I can output raw data from that in TDS .raw, SurvCE .rw5, C3d .fbk, or any of several other formats.
I like to orient my instrument using resectioning when doing topo. The resection ties are present in the raw data files – when I convert the raw data to StarNet .dat in StarNet they are there. But when I import them to SurvNet only the coordinate position comes over. True with any of the raw data formats I’ve tried so far. And that is not good enough, IMO. The common set-up-on-a point data comes over just fine.
So – before I elevate this to Carlson – I’d like to know if any of you who are using SurvNet have had this problem. Is it just a Magnet thing? of is it SurvNet?
I’d also like to hear from you if you are a SurvNet user even if you aren’t doing resectioning.
