The Last 3 Have Been Tough
Job 1. Not so bad. Rear neighbor of client constructed a new fence, various landscaping, and filled a ditch to do it. The property line runs down the center of the filled ditch. All irons were recovered but encroaching neighbor followed me around for an hour asking if I knew if he was encroaching yet. I thought it was obvious when I dug up an iron on his side of the fence. But I shrugged him off and he eventually went back inside. But still a pain in the ???? Job 2. Boundary of existing townhomes and with new common and limited common areas. Original recorded survey looks more like a plan than an actual survey. This job has required additional coordination with the town, owners, and attorney to get it squared away. I think I am close. But what a bear. Not a fan of the previous surveyor. Job 3. Boundary and Topo of Industrial Park Lot. Lot was recombined with lot to the south in 2006. Lot was recombined again with lot to west in 2018. But recombination in 2018 missed the 2006 recombo. And the Lot to the West was also recombined with a lot to it??s west in 2006. It took some digging through compacted gravel, pavement, and fill, but I found all of the original corners, those that were abandoned, and all of the corners set on the recombinations. I only had to set one corner. All three of these jobs hit me at once while I was preparing for another big job. I feel beat up, chewed up, and spit out. Haven't seen much of my family in the last two weeks. The time is Beer:30 at my house. I hope it is at yours.
