What are you hunting?
I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will!@dougie
deer, ducks and squirrel. There is some higher ground. The corners just happen to fall 1500ft off the high ground in the deep swamp.
Do me a favor. Keep Louisiana hunters IN Louisiana. Far too many stray outside your borders.
I would love to tag along on a swamp survey sometime – way different than the uplands I work in.
“Choot ’em!”
@cordgrass Sportsman’s Paradise.
Much like the meme of the guy in the hot tub on the deck shooting a deer. I could simply open a window and get one at about 50 feet. No need to get up in the middle of the night, spray on all sorts of odor changer and climb into a tree stand with a feeder full of corner fifteen feet below me. Wait 30 minutes until a dozen show up to feed, pick out the one I want and pull the trigger. Some people call that hunting.
We had no deer until after 1970. The Fish and Game boys decided we didn’t have enough rodents, so they imported them and turned them loose. Now, it’s impossible to drive more than 20 miles without slamming on the brakes because the vehicle in front of you got one the hard way.
@holy-cow once in NY I heard a report that fish & game was considering re-introducing elk into the Catskills. My first thought was ??Oh great, people complain about all the deer getting hit, now you want to put animals twice as big out there.?
A couple nights ago I saw 5 deer in the front yard, and we live over a mile inside the edge of town, although there is a wooded creek much closer to us.
