not a mon case (we don’t have many of those here), but i stepped on a cleanout with a broken lid last weekend, unleashed a whole mess of bees. got tagged 5 or 6 times on the calf.
I’ll take bees over snakes any day
Roger that. Even though the snakes we have around here, like those in Radar’s photo, are harmless garter snakes.

Ask Connie about that; they bit her!
I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will! @dougie
And for nothing, it seems. I don’t see any monument in there. I presume that other than a good scare that Connie is OK.

Connie was wearing gloves and they were young snakes; but that doesn’t mean that a snake snapping at you isn’t a little unsettling.
It wasn’t really a mon case, it was an 8″ piece of PVC with a concrete lid. The mon was an X in a stone, 1.5′ deep. They needed to get the snakes out so they could dust it off.
It was 0.06′ off of my calc’d position. My survey will show it as exactly where it should be.

Well was it an “X” or just a + in an odd orientation.
????
Happy Weds!
It was an X; but you’re correct, it was oriented in a non cardinal way…

Best Wednesday Ever!
I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will! If this was 0.05 from the calc position that means all of your other points are off and this one is perfect. Let’s see you put that note on your plat 40 times.
@norman-oklahoma
I don’t know why they were upset; Connie was doing them a favor by taking them out. I think they had gotten in there and couldn’t get out…

We’ve got your liquid sunshine here today!
When I lived “Just north of nowhere”, we got the day off when it rained…

We sat in our vehicles yesterday for about 45 minutes while the wind and rain rocked us, then hopped out to finish the job. Hitting the bar we were setting in the gravel roadbed went well until we had to whack it a good one to get it slightly below surface level instead of being at the surface of the two inches of runoff rapidly going downhill. Not the day to be wearing a white tuxedo.
