Jack Keen Flip Chart
Posted by Drewbacca81 on January 14, 2016 at 12:31 amI’ve been looking for one for a while now, and all of the ones online are between $250 and $1,000! Does anyone have one that they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price, or would be willing to make a copy?

I was thinking this was something to do with the Commander Keen game from 20+ years ago, so I googled it…
Oh! I have one of those – copyright date 1989.
It’s yours if you want it – just send me a PM with your mailing address.
The price? Make a donation to this website for whatever it’s worth to you.
Once Larry Phipps is back up and healthy again, his company sells them.
If you don’t find one, or if Mr. Phipps is down for quite awhile….. let me know. I may have one still, but I’m sure it’s buried in one of my
old work notebooks. In the “office” storage boxes.Yup, mine looks just like that one and not at all like the sideways one above it! :snarky:
Mine, however, has a “Land Surveyor’s Workshops” sticker on that makes it far more valuable…
That looks like the results of a “term project” from surveying class. :gammon:
I too have been trying to run down a copy of this flip chart, anybody got a lead on another one?
I just bought one off eBay. It’s basicly a duplicate. I’ll post a few pics after it arrives. Looks handy.

Uh, Mr. Phipps has left the building. A few years ago.
I know. It seemed respectful to add to this old thread, rather than start a new one. Original keen charts are selling for $800 etc.
Thank you
N
I don’t know/care. I got a knockoff copy for $20.
And, if it is good, similar to the original, and if it is what I think it is, I’m thinking it would be great if it could be gotten into production.
Also, maybe add a few equations, ie update it.
Thank you,
N
I have the one still I posted in this thread. I can scan it all and send it to you. It’s just buried in a box somewhere right now.
I’ve never seen the Keen, but this might be a close substitute, and it’s free.

Note page 34; it really is pronounced jigawatts.
@mathteacher Yes indeed; somewhat similarly to “gigantic.” I fought that battle for many years…
I’ve got one coming.
(Not quite sure if it’s 100% the same, but no matter)
I was thinking to use it as an outline, to teach from. The next generation of surveyors may benefit.
